Jake Miller is just hours away from debuting his brand new album, 2:00am In LA — and if you missed it, we got a little sneak peek this morning!
The 24-year-old musician has 10 brand new songs on the album, which he recorded in his bedroom in LA.
During his appearance on the Elvis Duran Show, Jake performed “Sleeping With Strangers” and opened up about the story of it.
“I had just got out of an 8-year long relationship,” he reveals. “I’d been in it since I was 15. I live in LA now and there’s that pressure to go out with your friends and meet people now that I’m single. It’s about finding out that the grass isn’t greener on the other side and what I had before was a little bit better.”
Jake also spoke about what the record means to him.
“I’m the most proud of it because I channeled every single motion in my body and I poured every ounce of it into this music,” he said. “It’s kind of a window into a side of my life that I don’t usually share.”
Jake adds, “I share a lot on social media, but that kind of stuff [in the songs], I don’t really share.”
